Fashionable Wallets
Long before leather mens wallets came into being, leather pouches were more popular because coins were the prevalent currency. Wallets debuted during the 1600s soon after paper currency, which was made of corn paper, became widely used in the West. The first leather wallets were very durable, and they came from cow or horse hide.
Modern leather wallets are not very different from the leather wallets of before except for the card slots that were added after credit cards were created in 1951. The only notable change in wallet styles was in the 1970s when Velcro wallets became the latest trend. Now, you'll find wallets made from different materials in all shapes and sizes and for a variety of purposes.
so slim you can barely notice them. This is to inhibit theft. There is another wallet variety that has a leather string attached designed to be hung around the neck and concealed under the clothes also for the same purpose.
Men's wallets are really basic. A bifold is enough for them. For women, their wallet should go with what they are wearing, the occasion, and how much they are carrying with them. Here are several traveling wallets for women:
* The front pocket wallet is very flat, somewhat rounded, and saves space. The front pocket wallet is able to hold the standard wallet content of ID cards, credit cards, cash and coins and is usually made of Napa leather. This is suitable for women on the run. You can choose from black, cocoa brown, and really chic combinations of blue, green, and pink combined with black. You may even personalize it by having your initials embossed on it.
* The taxi wallets, or Tony Perotti's taxi wallet, has three zipped compartments for bills, cards, and change. It has a front flap that secures the three compartments. You can get them in the usual black and brown colors.
* The Ultimo eather weekend wallet is small enough to be easily concealed on your person but large and organized enough to fit six cards and other stuff beyond your cash. It's got internal pockets and stash for you to be able to organize the contents. They are made of hand-dyed leather in cognac, chocolate brown, or black.
* The classic all-in-one wallet is the money clip wallet. You can bring it with you anywhere. It has a clip at the center to hold your cash and additional compartments for cards and change. This is available in black, honey, and brown colors.
* Rustico's leather weekend wallet is also created by Tony Perotti. It is intended to be carried around with ease. It has center stash for change and other things you may have with you. It also has an ID window on the reverse side and card slots inside. This is only available in brown.
